Bernice strikes unchartered territory – where knitwear materiality meets sportswear sensibilities. Formed of a stretch viscose knit, the ribbed finish creates a two-tone effect, with rich burgundy peeking out between the linear blue ribbing. Thicker burgundy lines run from the hips to the crotch, across the knees, and then criss-cross the ankles – which, at odds with convention, are not where these trousers end. Instead, they hug the upper foot, held by stirrups running under its arch.
